Musicians from around the country will be awarded for their work come May when the The Fiji Performing Rights Association (FPRA) Music Awards will be held at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva.

‘it’s a well known fact that Fijian music is very popular right across the region there’s a lot of countries that look to us for their celebrity guest status, so we value this process, we value the role of telling our members that there are many reasons hopefully millions of dollars worth of reasons to keep producing and keep producing more and keep producing better so in that regard we’re excited to bring the third edition of the FPRA music awards’.
This year the awards will have fourteen categories, a new one has been added and this will be announced soon.
The categories include best composition, most popular song, best iTaukei, Hindi and English songs, best new artist and best gospel artist.
