VUDE Queen Laisa Vulakoro, who performed at the Rise Up Fiji concert and appeal last Saturday, has called on the nation to help those affected by Severe Tropical Cyclone Winston in any way that they can.
The Yacata Island songbird added she was proud of the musicians and groups that had come on board for the Rise Up Fiji Appeal Concert.
“We are very grateful to all these artistes who are coming forward giving their time and talent to be part of this worthy cause,”she said.
“All the donations collected will be directed towards those affected by the cyclone.
“My own island was badly affected and I have just been to the island so I know the devastation first-hand.
“Anything we can do as artistes to help these people we will gladly do.”
Vulakoro added the help provided by StageTech, Suva City Council, GPH, Pacific Destinationz and Digicel helped make the Rise Up Fiji Concert possible.
The Vude Queen who performed with her nephew Marika Nakete, of sigidrigi fame praised fellow music star Seru Serevi for organising the concert.
